May 1st Applications by mail for absentee ballots for May 4th Primary Election must be received by the Board of Elections by noon.
May 3rd Nominating petitions for Independent candidates must be filed by 4:00 pm
May 4th Primary Election Day. Polls open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm
May 14th Absentee ballots returned by mail from within the United States must be postmarked no later than May 3rd and received by the board by this date to be counted.
May 20th Local questions and issues for the August 3rd Special Election must be certified to Board of Elections by 4:00 pm
June 11th Post Primary Election campaign finance reports must be filed by 4:00 pm
July 6th Deadline for voter registration for August 3rd special
July 30th Semiannual campaign finance reports must be filed by certain candidates, political action committees and political parties by 4:00 pm detailing expenditures through June 30, 2010
July 31st Absentee requests for August 3rd Special Election must be received by noon
August 2nd Absentee ballots may be voted in person at the Board of Elections Office
August 3rd Special Elections may be held
August 4th Deadline for nominating petitions for candidates in non-partisan races and local questions and issues for the general election must be filed by 4:00 pm
September 18th Absentee ballots for General Election commences
September 28th General Election absentees for uniformed and overseas (UOCACA) must be ready (45 days before the election)
October 4th Deadline for voter registration for the November 2nd General Election
October 21st Pre-General Election campaign finance reports must be filed by 4:00 pm detailing contributions and expenditures from the last day reflected in the previous report through October 13th.
October 30th Mailed absentee requests must be received by noon
November 1st Last day for absentee voting at board office
November 2nd General Election Day - polls are open at 6:30 am and close at 7:30 pm
January 31st, 2011 Annual campaign finance reports must be filed by certain candidates, political action committees and political parties by 4:00 pm detailing contributions and expenditures through December 31, 2010
