When
am I needed?
Usually every year for the primary in May (except when
Presidential primary is in March), and the general election
in November (first Tuesday after the first Monday).
Hours: 6:00
a.m. until all precinct work is completed (approximately
8:00 p.m.)
Why am
I needed?
Marion County employees more than 360 poll workers to
conduct an election. We need you help to make this
possible.
How
may I qualify?

registered voter in Marion County.

Voted as a
Democrat or Republican at a primary election.

application with the Marion County Board of Elections.

do I have to do?

Report for
work at 6:00 a.m. on Election Day

voting procedures to voters

work done at precinct

Attend
training sessions
What
training is needed?
Attend an instruction class once every two or three years.
Sessions are usually held in October and April.
Where
will I work?
When possible, in you own precinct, however you may be
needed in a precinct other than you own.
